As the days lengthen, Hove Park becomes gradually more colourful with snowdrops, daffodils and crocuses carpeting the ground. The trees should soon be providing a stunning display of blossom telling us that Spring has truly arrived.

Whilst a Spring walk in the park is attractive by itself, other activities and events are on the increase.

The popular Hove Park miniature railway re-opens after the winter with its first public running day on Saturday March 28th.

The Friends of Hove Park 2015 programme of events commences at Easter. Following last year's successful Easter Egg Trail, we are back again for a second year. The trail will be held on Easter Monday, 6th April, starting from our stand outside the Hove Park cafe (see photograph from last year's event). It will begin at 11am with a last start time of 2pm and cost 50p per child. There will be a series of clues to discover all around the park with a creme egg prize for each child at the end. The stand will also have a display of photographs and other information.

We can look ahead to a couple of family events later in the Spring months. First there is the Martlets Hove Carnival on Bank Holiday Monday, May 25th. We will be sharing a stall with the Rangers and the Friends of Three Cornered Copse and will have information, a display of photographs, and something for children.

New to Hove Park this year is the Funk The Family Festival on Saturday May 30th. This Brighton Fringe event has transferred from Hove Lagoon to a larger site at the north end of our park. Tickets are now on sale and last year sold out very early. The Friends will be having a presence there, again including information and something for children.

See our web site for further photographs and information.
