It's located at the south end of the park, close to the Old Shoreham Road and the Goldstone.
The bed was shaped by the park gardeners to make the outline of a butterfly, and was planted by the Friends of Hove Park, who maintain it (the park gardeners kindly water it).
The intricate shape of the cutting can be seen in this photograph above showing the antennae.
Even with the grass removed and the shape laid out, there were some surprises just under the surface - like this root.
With the first planting complete, the bed is now ready to attract butterflies and bees.
And a bee duly obliges.
